Proverbs 28:8 – ‘He who increases his wealth by exorbitant interest amasses it for another, who will be kind to the poor.’
Does it ever bother you when you put in all the hard work, but someone else reaps the praises? At the end of the day, we should be so focused on doing God’s work that it shouldn’t bother us whether we’re noticed for it or not. God notices! That said, God’s word above indicates that those who earn wealth in unethical ways won’t get to keep it. It will be passed onto someone else. And who will it be passed to? The person who is inclined to be kind to the poor.
This is a motive check for us all, surely! Firstly, we should be mindful of how we accumulate wealth. If we do it in a manner that is deemed unrighteous, God will take it from us.
Secondly, why do we want to amass wealth? God will make sure it gets into the hands of those who will look after and bless His children. I’ve said it before – God will get it to you if He can get it through you.
God Amasses it for Another
Be willing to use your finances to reach out to God’s hurting and lost children. If this is your heart’s desire, then don’t be surprised if finances come your way unexpectedly. After all, God amasses it for another who is willing to do His work here on earth. That could be you!
You will never have enough to help everyone who needs it. But if you have a heart to do so, God will provide the opportunity – and the provision – to reach many for His kingdom.
Wealth tip – consider only borrowing money to purchase assets that will generate income for you, not for products that will decrease in value over time.
