Psalm 18: 27 – 28 – ‘You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty. You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.’
How are you doing in life? Do you have a roof over your head, a good job, a nice income, and savings in the bank? Do you put this down to your own wise choices and hard work?
It’s important to acknowledge what we have – particularly if it’s more than we need. This means God has truly blessed us! It’s also important to recognise where this abundance has come from. Don’t get haughty.
On your way to wealth as a Christian, don’t ever think it’s all about you – how you worked hard; how you sacrificed to be able to save; how you made the right investment decisions. Our lives are lead by God and as easily as He is able to bless us, He is also able to humble us.
Do yourself a favour and work to stay humble; don’t find yourself humbled by God out of necessity! Recognise God’s work in your life and be thankful for His corrections as He brings you closer to Him and works you so that you can do more of His work on this earth.
Money tip: You only win with an exponential increase. If you put money into a savings account, this earns interest. Once this is earned, the interest earns its own interest. You can’t lose!
