Exodus 20: 4 – ‘You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything on heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.’

Wealth is a healthy goal as long as it is in line with the above. There is no way we should put money before our desire to know God and be in relationship with Him. The irony is that if we seek Him first, then He is the best one to bless our finances!

If we seek to acquire wealth first, then our priorities are wrong and we’re not allowing God to work in our lives in the way He should be free to! This can negatively affect our wealth! Simply put: God desires and deserves our love as a first priority.

Don’t let your business or your income become an idol you put before your God, your spouse or your family.

Financial tip – seek out resources that you can acquire for free with a little patience and research. There are many online books that can be downloaded or local libraries that have a wealth of information you don’t need to pay to access.
