Psalm 122: 9 – ‘For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.’
Do you wish prosperity on others? Or is your focus solely on your own prosperity so that you can bless those who don’t appear to be? Surely it is better for someone to be able to provide for themselves and their family, than they are reliant on hand outs from others?
I don’t believe it’s wrong to seek our own prosperity. However, at the same time we can be seeking prosperity of others. How? We can pray for them to be blessed first and foremost.
The Benefits of Your Prosperity
Depending on our position, we may be able to do many other things. We could provide someone with a job or recommend them for a job. We can also teach them skills that make them employable or help them to invest wisely. Can you gift people with assets that will increase their prosperity? I’m sure there are many other things that can be proactively done to help others be prosperous.
In Australia there are a lot of people reliant on welfare payments from the Government. How wonderful if this were not so. If those who were able to work were all in a job and wisely using their money. If those who were unable to work through disability were being provided for by wealthy family members. Then government funding could be invested elsewhere.
While you’re at it, pray for the prosperity of your government. Pray that God would guide them and bless them with matters regarding money, amongst others. Seek the prosperity of others in all you do – it shows God’s love.
Wealth tip – get rid of unnecessary clutter: remove anything you haven’t made use of in 12 months and bless someone else who may be able to utilise it, by giving it away!
