Proverbs 31:16 – 17 – ‘She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.’
Many people are familiar with the proverbs 31 woman. And I know that some women feel it is an awful lot to live up to! I love that it talks of a woman who also earns and invests.
Being a wealthy Christian is not restricted to one gender but rather encompasses every Christian. And this woman in proverbs 31 is one who out of her earnings is able to plant a vineyard. Why can’t that be you? Could you be a Christian who is able to consider a field and buy it?
It is great that this woman is able to invest and plant. She also knows how to work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. The way we are able to be strong in areas is through consistent work or practice. Muscles are built because they are used and tested time and again. It is the same with regards to our finances – we can stretch our learning about money and we can also work harder to earn more.
